3D Ultrasound Pics

Hey everyone...here are the pics that we got from Drew's 3D ultrasound last week. He was a VERY stubborn little boy who did not want to move his hands out from in front of his face, so we didn't get a picture looking straight at his face. The technician was only able to get profile shots...but they still turned out good. We got a few short videos, too...I'll post them soon!

29 weeks today!

Well, it's been quite some time since we've updated anyone on how our pregnancy is going...life has been busy, but good! I'm 29 weeks along as of today, starting on my 30th week. The last month has flown by super fast...I can't believe I'm in my 3rd trimester now, which means I'm on the home stretch! Being pregnant during the holidays has been nice. Since we stay so busy and are always on the go, time seems to pass a lot faster.

As for little Drew, he continues to grow REALLY fast! He's about 15 inches long this week and weighs almost 3 pounds...and his mama can feel all 15 inches and 3 pounds moving around in there all night and all day! It's the coolest feeling in the world! The other day, I put my cell phone on my stomach and he got to going so crazy in there that he kicked it off!

We're slowly but surely getting his nursery put together. His furniture is all in and set up. We've made a last minute decision to change the bedding collection that we originally decided on, so the new one will be here soon. It's EXTREMELY cute. Also, I had a baby shower this last weekend and got a few more things off of our baby registry. I have one more baby shower in Belton with the friends and family who live there, and after that one we'll make our last big run to get everything else we need before Drew makes his grand entrance!

One last update - I have a 3D/4D ultrasound tomorrow. Stephen and I are both pretty pumped about this one and can't wait to share the pictures and videos with you. I'll post them as soon as I can!

A Visit to the Pumpkin Patch...

Hello again! We just back from taking pictures at the pumpkin patch...and it was so much fun!! We took a few snap shots here and there and then painted a pumpkin on my big belly! Here are just a few of the MANY pictures we took...

Furniture, registries and showers...FUN FUN FUN!!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you all know what was going on in our world...

This last weekend, we went to Target and Babies R Us to register for gifts for our little boy. It was SO much fun...but a little overwhelming! It's crazy how many things you need! We've got our first big baby shower on November 16th, hosted by our church.

Also, we ordered our nursery furniture about a month ago, and we were told that it wouldn't be delivered until December. Low and behold, we got a call yesterday that it had come in. As of last night, we have furniture and we've already started getting it all set up. It's beautiful!

This weekend, we're going to the Pumpkin Patch with Ashley's siblings (Courtney, Taylor, Haley and Zach). We're going to take some "belly pictures" of Ashley in the patch and then paint a big pumpkin on her belly. They should be cute...we'll post them as soon as we get home.

Also this weekend, Courtney's boyfriend (Chance) and Stephen's brother (Lucas) are hosting a "Guy's Only" diaper shower. They're going to be watching the Texan's game...and the guys' admittance into the "game" is a package of diapers. This was Courtney's idea...and we're so thankful she thought of it! We should get a good start on dipaers!

Week 21 Update

Just wanted to update everyone on how we're doing...

Life is great right now...just staying busy with work, church and getting ready for our little one. He keeps on growing and growing, and Ashley can feel him move around in her more and more every day. She's now almost 21 weeks along...right about half way there!

For those of you who may not know, Stephen is not with Wachovia Bank anymore; he's now with Guaranty Bank. It was a great transition for him...he is really liking it. He cut his drive time in half (or more), so that in itself is awesome!

We hope everyone is doing well...we'll post belly pictures soon - it's getting bigger!!

IT'S A BOY!!

Yesterday, we had our 18 week ultrasound and found out that Baby Rocha is a boy!! We are so excited!! Right now, he's about 8.5-9 inches long and weighs around half of a pound. The doctor also listened to his heartbeat and said it sounded perfect...she gave us an all-around GREAT report. Also, for those of you who may not know, he's scheduled to make his entrance into this world on February 25, 2009!

We just wanted to remind everyone that we find out if Baby Rocha is a boy or a girl in only five days...on September 25th!!! We'll be sure to log on as soon as we know to give you all the news! This ultrasound is called an "anatomy ultrasound", so we hear we'll have some more pretty awesome pics to share with you. Be sure to check back toward the end of the week to see them all!

15 Weeks - It's Growing!!!

Hello all! Things are going great with the pregnancy. Ashley's now 15 weeks along...and her belly's growing fast! We wanted those of you who don't see us every day to see how much she's changed. These pics were taken just a few days ago...

Week 14 Appointment

Well...today we had another doctor's appointment. It was really cool! They told me that I'm further along that what my doctor has been telling me. Today I am in my 14th week...that gives us a due date of February 25th, 2009 - 6 months from today! I'm now officially out of my first trimester and feeling really good. I'm still pretty tired, but that's manageable! I don't have too many other updates - just wanted to let you all know that the appointment went well and everything looks great. See the video and pics below!

Week 8 Ultrasound

Hey everyone...here is our most recent ultrasound pic. Ashley was 8 weeks along in this ultrasound...it was done on Monday, July 28th. The next ones should be posted after our next appointment on Monday, August 25th!!

Week 5 Ultrasound

Here are the pictures from our very first ultrasound. Ashley added in little labels so you can tell exactly what you're looking at. Ashley was 5 weeks along at this appointment. The baby had a very strong heartbeat and was just the right size at 5mm. This ultrasound was done on Monday, July 7th by Ashley's doctor, Joy LeBlanc (whom she LOVES!!)

As of today, Ashley is in her 11th week of pregnancy...only a couple more weeks left in her first trimester!
